As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of people, property, and premises. You will monitor and control access, prevent theft or damage, and respond to emergencies in accordance with Croatian security laws and company policies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor entrances, exits, and security systems to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises (indoor and outdoor).
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
  • Check identification and grant access to authorized personnel or visitors.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or suspicious activities.
  • Write incident reports and maintain security logs.
  • Provide assistance during emergencies (fire, medical, evacuation).
  • Cooperate with police and emergency services when needed.
  • Maintain professional appearance and behavior while on duty.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 18 years.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • License: Valid Croatian Zaštitar (security guard) license issued by the Ministry of Interior (Ministarstvo unutarnjih poslova).
  • Good knowledge of Croatian language (English or other languages are a plus).
  • Physically fit and able to stand or walk for long periods.
  • No criminal record.
  • Strong observation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

 

Working Conditions

  • Shift-based work (8–12 hours).
  • Indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Uniform provided by employer.
  • Salary typically ranges from €800 to €1,200 net per month, depending on experience, location, and shift allowances.
